InkMonitor
Ink coverage software by HighWater
InkMonitor — the ink coverage software fromHighWater — improves make-ready times by calculating the ink coverage of an image on a plate.
InkMonitor reduces press set up time, paper waste and the amount of ink used, enhancing productivity and efficiency.
Latest Presses Supported
Ink coverage information can be output in different formats, notably PPF (Print Production Format — formerly CIP3) files which many of the latest presses support.
Some of the numerous presses supported by InkMonitor include:
- Heidelberg sheet-fed presses using CPC32 or CP2000
- Man Roland sheet-fed presses using PECOM
- Harris-Heidelberg web presses
- ADAST sheet-fed presses using InkFlow software and InkFlow press console
- Shinohara sheet-fed presses using SRIM press console software
- Mitsubishi sheet-fed presses with press console software
- Komori sheet-fed presses using CIPCONV
- Komori sheet-fed presses using PCC(-IV) software
Older Presses
Ink coverage data can also be generated for older presses, as InkMonitor supports various press proprietary formats (check with HighWater sales, or your local HighWater dealer). This data can then be transferred to a press console via disk.
For all other presses, an ink coverage graph can be generated by InkMonitor, providing print production staff with an accurate picture of the ink coverage of an image on a plate. Such graphical data is an invaluable tool when setting up ink duct values.
Sample files and graphs are available from HighWater sales, or your local HighWater dealer.
